FREE Tailored Mental Health Training – Now Available

Healthy Heads is now advertising the first round of our free mental health training courses.

Mental health and wellbeing training is an important step that individuals and organisations can take to proactively manage psychosocial risks within the workplace.

Healthy Heads has worked closely with leading training providers in the sector including Lifeline Australia, Black Dog Institute, Mental Health First Aid Australia and AP Psychology & Consulting Services to develop industry tailored training programs that empower people to manage their own mental health and wellbeing, as well as improve their capacity to support others that they work with.

Healthy Heads will be offering access to training at no cost to participants, thanks to funding provided through the National Heavy Vehicle Regulator’s Heavy Vehicle Safety Initiative, supported by the Australian Government. There are seven different training courses being offered which are listed here.

Following on from the delivery of two Black Dog Institute Managing for Team Wellbeing courses held in Cavan SA and Mount Gambier SA last week (linked to NatRoad Member Forums), the training courses will be advertised in three stages with stage one courses now open for enrollments as listed below:

Mental health and wellbeing training works to improve understanding and reduce stigma around mental health.  Training also improves our capacity to recognise signs in others and encourages help seeking behaviors which leads to vital early intervention and support.
