Accidental Counsellor

Overview

Lifeline has collaborated with Healthy Heads in Trucks & Sheds to tailor Accidental Counsellor training to support workers in transport, warehousing and logistics. This evidence informed training includes transport specific scenarios and uses Lifeline’s Recognise, Respond and Refer model.

What you will learn

  • Apply the principles of recognise, respond and refer to someone who is experiencing an emotional crisis
  • Demonstrate key communication skills
  • Apply strategies for de-escalating anger
  • Define the importance of self-care

This training is designed for:

Accidental Counsellor is aimed at people who manage or contribute to the health and wellbeing of people in the transport, warehousing or logistics sector, including:

  • Team Leaders/Managers
  • Health and Safety Advisors

Training delivery options

Length: 3.5 hours

Format: Virtual or Face to Face

Participant numbers: Individuals or Workshops delivered exclusively to workplaces with 12 to 18 participants.

Training delivered by: Lifeline Workplace Training
