Overview

In collaboration with Steering Healthy Minds (SHM) we are promoting Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) training to the transport and logistics industries.

Training is being offered for free via SHM in Western Australia. SHM are currently working to expand availability across other states.

The course includes tailored transport specific scenarios and is provided by accredited trainers.


What you will learn

  • How to recognise and help with declining mental health and how to intervene in a crisis
  • Improve knowledge of mental illnesses, treatments and first aid strategies
  • Increase confidence in providing first aid to a person experiencing a mental health problem.

This training is designed for:

  • Contractors
  • Employees
  • Supervisors
  • Managers.

Training Delivery Options

MHFA training is delivered via a face-to-face, interactive workshop

Length: 2 days (12 hours)

Format: Face-to-face

Overview: Accredited MHFA trainer provides two 6-hour sessions. Upon successful completion of assessment task, a certificate of accreditation is gained

Participant numbers: Groups of 15 trained at a time.

* cost of any employee time, travel or accommodation that may be required to attend training is not included.

The course is also available across all other states for a set fee. To understand more, please enquire for industry-specific training.

For other states the cost ranges from $200-$350 per participant
